Securitization of real estate receives has grown very fast in Brazil in recent years. This growth can be attributed to the need for real estate financing, coupled with the fact that it represents an attractive investment option. The following graph and table show this growth, indicting the number of public offerings and the volumes from 1999 through December of 2009, together with the ranking of securitization agents, where Brazilian Securities can be seen amongst the leaders.
